ANIMAL FEED AND FOOD PRODUCTION

A significant turning-point in the Institute's development came in 1956. That is when the products for animal nutrition were introduced into the assortment. We are proud to point out that the first organized production of animal feed and food in the Balkans began at the Veterinary Medicine Institute Zemun Inc., Belgrade on 22 September 1956.

The production process was automatized, run by computers linked with the computer of the technician and production preparation. Today we have at our disposal the most up-to-date equipment for the production of animal feed and food and animal feed supplements. Thanks to the constant control of raw materials and continuous technological improvements, the annual production of animal feed and food and highest quality supplements has reached 120 000 tons. Animal feed and food production includes in its assortment vitamin premixes, mineral premixes, mineral-vitamin premixes (Vezevit 1%, 3%, 5%), as well as products requested by customers (with medicinal supplements and special requests) and feed and food for all animal categories (chicken, turkeys, pheasants, quails, pigeons, trout, rabbits, sheep, lambs, calves, cows, pigs, sows.).
